Philippines: Felix Garlitos has a successful ministry in a 20,000-inmate prison and a work in a female prison. Two individuals support this ministry.
Mexico: Arturo Martinez, NLN director and Roberto Martinez, instructor has an invitation to teach NLB in all the prisons in Tamps, Mexico. This is a Skillman ministry.
Aba, Nigeria: Friday Adima reports that of the forty baptisms, four were WBS students. Friday visited 27 families of inmates in the 4th quarter. He conducted five NLB community seminars. The seminar responses, especially from drug addicts, have been very positive. This is a Skillman ministry.
Zambia: Barry Phiri works with 3,000 orphans with 550 female volunteers. He also works with 1,500 high school students in NLB Study Clubs. Their goal is aids prevention. The 261 baptisms came from all his work, not just in prisons. This is a Skillman ministry.
Omsk, Russia: Lena Silina is in her second year. She is the wife of the minister of the local congregation. She ministers to individuals and teens. She is a former business owner, and graduate of the Barnaul International Bible Institute. This is a Skillman ministry
Tomsks, Russia; The Russian government will not allow any church workers, other than Russian Orthodox priest into their prisons. Therefore under the leadership of Phil Payne and Oksana Ocheredko the Tomsk ministry centers around their radio program, individuals studying NLB lessons, congregational use of it, working with orphans, and teaching men at their half-way house located on 30 acres outside of Tomsk. NLBI raises funds for this ministry.
USA: Buck Griffith, with 36 years experience in prison
and jail ministry, leads this ministry. Since its first year,
1984, NLB has expanded quickly into nearly every state.
Classes in prisons and correspondence lessons make up the majority of the NLB efforts in the US.
